Dan Ventures and Mr. Good Container Homes Partner to Bring Affordable, Factory-Built Homes to Communities That Need Them

Partnership pairs Mr. Good's container home manufacturing and turnkey deployment with Dan Ventures' site selection and housing development

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 31, 2026 /Dan Ventures/ -- Dan Ventures, the Jacksonville company founded by Daniel Kaufman to build housing and early stage companies, today announced a partnership with Mr. Good Container Homes, a container home builder with locations in Alachua, Florida and Tyler, Texas. Together, the two companies will plan and deliver new homes built in a factory and set on site, aimed at the working families and residents who are being priced out of the places they serve.

Under the partnership, Mr. Good Container Homes will manufacture the homes and handle turnkey delivery and setup. Dan Ventures will lead site selection and development, working with towns, landowners and employers to get homes on the ground where local workers can't find a place they can afford.

Mr. Good builds its homes in the USA through a multi-state manufacturing network. Each 320 square foot unit holds two 160 square foot studio apartments, each with a private bathroom, a kitchenette with a stovetop, and window air conditioning, heat and a dehumidifier. Homes start at $45,000 per unit, plus tax and delivery, with three floor plans to choose from and in-house financing or outside lenders available.

Units are ready to ship in 90 to 120 days and can be delivered nationwide. Because the homes are classified as RVs, they connect through a 50 amp power hookup, a standard water hose and an RV sewer connection, and can be ready for utilities in about 15 minutes on site. Mr. Good reports average water and electricity bills of about $50 a month. In Texas, the homes are approved for Section 8 housing vouchers, which opens them to more renters. They are designed for RV parks, rural land, workforce housing and emergency response.

The model also gives RV and mobile home park owners a way to add long term housing. According to Mr. Good, a park lot that rents short term for about $350 a month can instead hold a duplex that rents for $1,600 to $1,900 a month on 6 to 12 month leases.

The partnership builds on Common Frame, the Dan Ventures initiative focused on building attainable workforce housing faster. Common Frame tests modular, containerized and 3D printed construction, with early projects in Vermont and Florida. Building more of each home in a factory shortens the time on site, cuts waste and helps bring down the cost to build.

The first projects will be announced as sites are confirmed. Towns, landowners and employers interested in bringing homes to their communities can reach Dan Ventures at dan-ventures.com/partner.

“We’ve spent the past year testing faster ways to build the homes working people can afford,” said Daniel Kaufman, founder of Dan Ventures. “Mr. Good builds the home in a factory and delivers it ready to live in, which is the piece we needed. Our job is to find the land, work with the towns and employers, and get these homes on the ground.”

“Our partnership with Dan Ventures represents an important step toward solving one of America’s most pressing challenges: access to quality, affordable housing,” said Collin Hanks, founder of Mr. Good Container Homes. “By combining our manufacturing capabilities and turnkey deployment model with strategic real estate investment, we’re creating a scalable solution that can bring thousands of new homes to communities that need them most.”

“At MGCH, we believe the future of affordable housing depends on thinking bigger, building smarter, and creating partnerships that can deliver meaningful results at scale,” said Tom Colangelo, co-owner of Mr. Good Container Homes (MGCH). “Working with Dan Ventures gives us the opportunity to bring together the right resources, expertise, and investment to accelerate our vision. This is about more than building homes; it’s about creating lasting housing opportunities and developing a model that can be replicated in communities across the country.”
